Tata Motors had shown off a pre-production version of the Altroz electric car at the 2020 Auto Expo. The report says that the electric Punch could come with two types of batteries and have a range of between 300km and 350km. The Punch EV will be the first electric car made by Tata that is built on the latest ALFA modular platform. The ALFA platform can work with different body styles and engine types, such as electric, internal combustion engine (ICE), and hybrid. The Altroz hatchback is also built on this platform.
The Punch EV will likely have the same features as the Punch ICE. It is likely to have a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that works with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic air conditioning, powered ORVMs, cruise control, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and other features. This model is also likely to have regenerative braking with multiple modes, traction control, iTPMS, leather seats, and other features.
The price range for the ICE version of the Tata Punch is between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9.54 lakh. We think that the price of the new Tata Punch EV will be between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 13 lakh.
