Tata Motors appears to be preparing the market introductions of the Red Dark editions of both the Harrier and Safari SUVs, as well as the popular Nexon, in addition to the updated iterations of the Harrier and Safari SUVs that are set to launch next month. The brand teased these three models in their Red Dark edition avatars, indicating an impending release.
Last month, the brand showcased the Harrier and Safari Dark editions with additional red accents and more features at Auto Expo 2023. The Tata Red Dark edition SUVs on display at Auto Expo had an all-black exterior, 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and a subtle red insert on the grille.
Equipment-wise, the SUVs had a better touchscreen infotainment system, ADAS and a fully digital instrument cluster, and added safety in the form of six airbags. Carnelian Red seats with a quilted pattern, red grab handles, ventilated front seats, unique grey trim on the dashboard, and a piano black theme on the steering wheel are among the other distinctive cosmetic features. There was also red ambient lighting and a few other details.
While the brand has not confirmed what will be included in the production-spec Tata Nexon, Harrier, and Safari Red Dark editions, we anticipate the feature list to be similar to what was shown at Auto Expo 2023.
There won’t be any mechanical changes to the new Harrier, Safari, or Nexon, even in their Red Dark variants, as Tata Motors just modified its complete passenger car line-up to conform with the Bharat Stage 6 Phase-II requirements.
