Tata Motors enlisted its best-ever quarterly execution in Q2 FY23 such a long ways as homegrown traveler vehicle (PV) volumes are concerned on the rear of a vigorous show by its sub-four meter sport utility vehicles (SUVs), Nexon and Punch.

  • Tata Motors sold 48,787 units of Altroz, Tiago and Tigor in Q2.
  • Sales of Safari and Harrier at 14,456 units.
  • Punch and Nexon together brought volumes to 79,082 units.

The local auto major timed PV wholesales of 1,42,325 units in the homegrown market in Q2 FY23, dashing past the past best of 1,30,125 units posted in Q1 FY23.

In the July-September period, the consolidated deals of the Tiago, Tigor and Altroz remained at 48,787 units, while those of the Safari and Harrier were at 14,456 units. The Nexon and Punch figured out how to get volumes of 79,082 units aggregately.

“The discount figures for the Nexon and Punch just mirror the high fame that the SUV body style has accomplished, particularly in the minimized UV segment. We anticipate that these models should keep giving the significant lump of volumes to Tata’s numbers,” said Suraj Ghosh, chief, versatility, S&P Worldwide.

The sub-four meter conservative SUV segment has seen its piece of the pie increment from 13% in FY20 to 16.4% in FY21 and further to 21.7% in FY22.

The Nexon is valued between Rs 7,59,900 and Rs 14,07,900 (ex-display area, New Delhi) while the Punch is accessible in the value scope of Rs 5,92,900 to Rs 9,48,900 (ex-display area, New Delhi).

Among the rivals of the Tata Nexon are the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300 and Toyota Urban Cruiser. Then again, the Tata Punch takes on the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite (1-liter NA) and Renault Kiger (1-liter NA).

“The market reaction to the most recent Tata PV items has been exceptionally certain. In the event that this supports and Tata keeps up with its item procedure, it is well en route to seeing further development. As a matter of fact, Tata’s ability upgrade is a decent sign of their arrangements,” Ghosh said.
