German automaker Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the facelifted version of its AMG GT 4-Door Coupe model. It’ll continue sale within the US later this year.
The car features a refreshed design and an updated cabin with many features. Under the hood, it draws power from a 3.0-liter, turbocharged, inline-six engine.
AMG boss Philipp Schiemer said, “We constantly maintain our AMG GT 4-Door Coupé at an impressive technical level. With the present update and therefore the exclusive edition. We’re reaching bent the target groups that place the best value on individuality and an expressive lifestyle.
“We still develop our profile as a ‘performance luxury’ brand and continue to substantiate this with tailor-made products and options,” he added.
New Updates in Mercedes
The most significant change to the newest four-door AMG is an upgrade to the available three-chamber air suspension. Two pressure limiting valves added to the surface of every damper. One valve controls the rebound while the opposite controls compression and every is continuously variable. AMG said the new valves provide a wider spread between ride comfort and performance damping forces.
The engine hasn’t changed. it is a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system breathed upon by AMG for 429 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque. An AMG-tuned all-wheel-drive system directs power to the bottom via a 9-speed automatic drive. So, Mercedes-Benz said the massive hatchback can sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds on its thanks to an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph.
The V-8-powered 63 and 63 S models, along side the plug-in hybrid 73e model, haven’t been detailed yet.
The only ways to identify a refreshed 2022 AMG GT 53 4-Door Coupe from the surface are going to be by a spread of latest paint colors and therefore the newly the available red brake calipers, which are optional for the quality iron brakes. The optional carbon-ceramic brakes still feature bronze-painted calipers.
Mercedes launches for India
Starting with the car in question, Mercedes offers the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe in India in its range-topping 63 S spec powered by a 639hp twin-turbo V8 engine. For now, Mercedes has not revealed any changes globally to its V8-powered GT 4-Door Coupe range though an updated version is predicted to be revealed later this year with a raft of visual and dynamic tweaks and an 811hp GT 73e plug-in hybrid model. we will expect the facelifted model to arrive in India soon after its global debut.
Mercedes’ next launch in India though is about to be the all-new S-class which can launch in India on June 17 with the carmaker having recently introduced the Maybach GLS SUV. Also on the cards for India is that the full blown Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.
