These spy photos outside Toyota’s Bidadi factory show the Innova Hycross-based MPV, Maruti Suzuki’s next launch for India, appearing to be prepared for serial production. The business previously mentioned that it might be marketed as the “Engage” when it debuts; as far as we are aware, Toyota will construct this vehicle for Maruti Suzuki India.

The Toyota Innova Hycross, upon which the Maruti Suzuki MPV is built, shares the majority of its components. To help distinguish it from its Toyota cousin, there are just minor visual modifications that may be seen.

A considerably larger grille with a honeycomb mesh design, dual chrome bars, and a sizable Suzuki emblem in the middle is added to the Maruti. The front bumper even has a noticeable chin, a large air dam, and separate casings for the fog lamps. The grille blends into this bumper. Similar to the Hycross, the daytime running lamps and indicators are positioned horizontally.

Although specifics of the new Maruti MPV’s powertrain are not yet revealed, we anticipate that it will have the same possibilities as the Toyota Innova Hycross. This includes the hybrid, which produces 183 horsepower, and the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine, which produces 173 horsepower. Either a CVT or an e-CVT gearbox is connected to these engines.

While Ertiga and XL6 MPVs from Maruti Suzuki are currently sold in significant numbers, the Hycross-based MPV will be a more expensive model. Currently, the Innova Hycross costs between Rs 18.55 lakh and Rs 30.00 lakh. Currently, the Grand Vitara Hybrid Alpha+, which sells for Rs 19.79 lakh ex-showroom, is Maruti Suzuki’s most costly vehicle. The most expensive item in Maruti’s lineup will consequently be the new MPV, which is scheduled to debut on July 5.
