Jagdish Khattar, the previous overseeing overseer of Maruti Suzuki India, has died at age 79, following a heart failure.
Khattar, an IAS official, had served in a few key Central and State managerial situations prior to joining Maruti Suzuki in 1993 as its Director (Marketing). He was first raised to the situation of Managing Director in 1999 and afterward held the situation from 2002 onwards as Suzuki Motor Corp’s chosen one. Right now, the organization was as yet called Maruti Udyog and was set up as a joint endeavor with the Central Government. It was in 2007 that Maruti Suzuki came to fruition and at this point, the Center had clarified its purpose to leave the JV, with Khattar proceeding in charge as MD.
After his retirement on superannuation in 2007, Khattar set up a multi-brand vehicle deals and administration network called Carnation Auto. He additionally extended his business in different fragments like land and consultancy with the dispatch of Carnation Realty and Carnation Broking.
