In India, Jeep has made new versions of the Compass and Meridian SUVs that are called “Club Edition.” The Jeep Compass Club Edition costs Rs 20.99 lakh, and the Meridian Club Edition costs Rs 27.75 lakh. Both of these prices are ex-showroom, India. There are only a certain number of each Club Edition SUV, and their prices are only good until February 28.

The Compass Club Edition and the Meridian Club Edition are both based on the base trims of their respective SUVs, which are called Sport for the Compass and Limited for the Meridian. The only changes to either SUV are a unique sticker on the hood and a “Club Edition” badge on the back door.

But what makes the Club Edition models stand out is the price at which they are sold. The Compass Club Edition is up to Rs 1.08 lakh cheaper than the base model it is based on. The difference is even bigger for the Meridian Club Edition, which is Rs 2.35 lakh more.

Both the Compass and the Meridian Club Edition have one engine. The Compass only has a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine with 163 horsepower and a 7-speed DCT transmission. The Meridian only has a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 170 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission. The Club Edition models of neither SUV come with a 4×4 drivetrain.

The Compass Club Edition and Meridian Club Edition have the same list of features as their regular base trims. The Compass has LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, an infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, dual airbags, and electronic stability control (ESC). The Meridian also has automatic LED projector headlights, larger 18-inch wheels, a wireless charger, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual zone AC, and six airbags.

The Hyundai Tucson, the Citroen C5 Aircross, and the Volkswagen Tiguan are all competitors to the Compass. In India, the only car that is a direct competitor to the Meridian is the Skoda Kodiaq.
