Honda’s new auxiliary for battery sharing help, Honda Power Pack Energy India, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited are teaming up to set up EV battery trading stations across India. The Japanese organization says this denotes the worldwide presentation of its battery sharing help.
This comes three months after Honda reported it was entering the battery trading business in the country. Honda isn’t the main maker to have restricted with an oil major to assemble EV charging foundation. Recently,Hero MotoCorp and BPCL have collaborated to foster an EV charging network too.
Honda and HPCL say they intend to begin Battery as a Service (BaaS) business on a business premise in Bengaluru from the main portion of 2022. Honda plans to set up a wide organization of battery trade stations at vital HPCL retail outlets. It’ll empower clients to rapidly trade an exhausted battery pack, called the Honda Mobile Power Pack e , with a completely energized one very quickly.
At first, the emphasis will be on the three-wheeler fragment and would ultimately extend to bikes also. For this reason, Honda has been fostering its binds with numerous OEMs in different applications.
