BMW India is soon going to release the prices of the new model, the X7 facelift, and the new XM – along with the updated M340i xDrive sedan that it is going to release on Indian roads on December 10. The BMW XM is going to be the brand’s new flagship as it is the second M product since the mid-engined M1 supercar of the late 1970s. The X7 facelift and M340i xDrive contains some style changes and has been heavily updated in terms of powertrains and features.

BMW X7, one of the most luxurious SUVs which has been heavily updated, was introduced in April 2022. It gets redesigned and gets a different texture. It debuted the new split headlamp design of the BMW, which they are planning to use in new i7 and 7 Series sedans that will also be arriving in India in January 2023. The most important thing for all car lovers is the interior of a car. In the case of this SUV, BMW has left nothing in its store. They have introduced the latest curved infotainment screen that constitutes a 14.9-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster running the latest iDrive 8 software, which was previously seen in the iX and i4 models of BMW.

The new model X7 will be offered in the guise of xDrive 40i and xDrive 30d in India. xDrive 40i is going to receive a 380hp inline six-cylinder petrol engine which is up by 40hp over the outgoing Indian versions, while the xDrive 30d will get a 352hp inline six-cylinder diesel engine up by 87hp over the outgoing India version. Both the cars will get an 8-speed automatic gearbox with both engines coupled with 48V mild-hybrid tech mated with all-wheel drive as standard.

BMW globally introduced the XM model of SUV car in September 2022; It is the first XM which is M model with a hybrid plug-in powertrain when it unites with a twin-turbo 483hp, 4.4-liter V8 engine which produces a total power output of 653hp and 800 Nm with the help of a single electric motor producing 194hp. To make it better, BMW has combined this engine with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which is responsible for sending power to all four wheels of the car. This new model of BMW is quite efficient as it can even run totally in EV mode at a range of 80km.

The XM model of BMW is quite similar in size when compared to X7. Not just its size but some features have been shared by both. XM looks a bit radical in the styling matters on its exterior. It includes a massive illuminated grille, a split headlamp set-up, and vertically stacked exhaust outlets at the rear. When we talk about the interior of this car, it is very familiar; however, the back seats of XM have been planted as an ‘M Lounge’, which places more focus on the comfort of the occupant, which was not quite visible in any other M class car before. This car also comes with the latest iDrive 8 system with the widest range of driver assistance systems ever installed in a BMW vehicle.

Meanwhile, BMW will also introduce the refreshed M340i xDrive and according to many car news sites, it has been expected that the M340i will be inspired by these two models and will be an upgraded version in terms of power and technical capacity. So, you must stay tuned with us to know much more exciting news about this car.
