Tata showed off the Tiago EV Blitz, a sportier version of the Tiago EV, to be released in September 2022. We don’t know much about the Blitz’s engine yet, but it’s getting some cosmetic upgrades that make it look even more sporty.
On the front of the Tiago EV Blitz, there are no blue accents like on other Tata.EV cars. Instead, it has a black trim under the headlights and a grille that is closed off. In the air dam of the standard Tiago EV, there are Y-shaped designs that match the body colour. On the Blitz, there are angular slats that meet in the middle and are finished in gloss black.
In the side view, the Blitz has new flared wheel arches that are painted gloss black and black 15-inch wheels that were last seen on the Tiago JTP. The Tiago EV Blitz still has a black roof and black outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), but the standard Tiago EV has black accents on the door handles. The only thing that makes the Tiago EV different is that it has a black spoiler that matches the body color.
But badges are the easiest way to tell if a car is a Tiago EV Blitz. It has a blue lightning bolt next to it. There are EV logos on the front grille, the front doors, and the back door.
Inside, the Tiago EV Blitz is mostly the same as the regular Tiago EV, except that the head restraints have a blue bolt stitched into them.
Tata said that the Tiago EV Blitz will be released in the fiscal year 2024. This means that there is a good chance that the Blitz will be on sale before the end of 2023. At the moment, we don’t know how much it will cost, what kind of engine it will have, or if it will get any chassis upgrades.
