Audi’s next-generation rugged crossover concept car, the Activesphere, will be uncovered on January 26, 2023. This new concept will have a fully electric drivetrain and technology for level four autonomy.

The Activesphere is the brand’s newest next-generation concept car. It was first shown as a trio of cars: the shape-changing Skysphere sports coupé, the Urbansphere MPV, and the Grandsphere executive sedan. Audi says that the Activesphere, which looks like a rugged off-road crossover, will be able to go where other cars can’t.

The Activesphere is likely built on the same PPE platform as the Urbansphere and Grandsphere. It stands tall and has big wheels, but its body is smooth and its headlights are thin and sharply designed. These design details show that the model will be able to go off-road to some extent.

Audi hasn’t said much about specific features, but all four concepts are full of next-generation technologies, such as level four autonomous driving and creative ways to improve usability, comfort, and environmental friendliness.

Audi has used its concept cars to show off a number of different battery technologies. The Urbansphere will be the biggest car the company has ever made. It has a 120-kWh battery that can go up to 466 miles and can be charged at up to 270 kW.

Audi has said that the Activesphere’s battery capacity is likely to be higher than 80kWh, which would give it a range of about 310 miles. The battery sizes for the Activesphere have not been made public.

As for the powertrains, the Urbansphere has 400 horsepower and 689 Newton-meters of torque, while the Grandsphere has 721 horsepower and 960 Newton-meters of torque.
