All New Hyundai i20 facelift in the works

This is the first time when we have had a mid-life facelift for the Hyundai i20. We can expect the interior and exterior designs of the car, which is going to attract more people towards it. Although it is currently in testing mode in other countries. From the spy’s photographs, we can determine that it is been going to offer the following characteristics in India:

When we talk about attractiveness, this car is already quite attractive, but now it has some minor design changes that have made this car more comfortable.

The car used in this testing was seen guised with plastic wheel covers which suggests that it was just a base material variant.

Some of the features have also got some changes; when we take a look at the front of the car, the grille insert has been remodelled, along with a bit of tinkered bumpers. In the images received, the usage of new alloys and plastic covers in the lower trims only seemed to be the new update. It is not yet clear, but there can be other updates in the bumpers and headlights of the car.

The pictures which have been hatched online don’t reveal any part of the rear seats. However, one can expect the hatch could get an upgraded boot lid and a twirl in the bumpers; along with this, there is a possibility of the car being offered with an LED strip connecting both tail lamps, as seen in the facelifted venue.

The images don’t offer any interior images of the new i20, but there is a high possibility of updates in the graphics of the infotainment and digital instrument cluster. As we know that the current version of the i20 is already supported by infotainment software, so an updated version can help the customers in many ways, and more USB ports and the additional connected car features are loved by all.

Hyundai will offer this car in a petrol-only version and will pull back on the 1.5-liter diesel engine which was used before. This has been done because of the more strict RDE emission norms laid down by the Indian government, which will come into action from April 2023. Which will mean that this new version of i20 can only be offered in petrol only guise in India.

The company has just started to test the new version of i20, which means that it can be offered on global platforms from around mid-2023. And it can be expected in the Indian market in early 2024. So, for more exciting car news, you must stay tuned with us.
